Okay okay okay I am busting out my Earth and Environmental Science background to bitch about the mapmaking in this one.

As it stands, the map uses the Turnpike as their milemarkers.  All “what exit?” joking aside (seriously shut up, I don’t have one and yes it is possible), the Turnpike is actually a pretty shitty representation of travel in the state.  It completely cuts the state in two and doesn’t go anywhere near the outer corners, or even touch the shore - hence why Springsteen is denoted with a little star along the edge for Asbury Park.

Here’s why it sucks:  while yes, these exits may TECHNICALLY be the ones used to access these areas, some of them are so far off it’s ridiculous.  While yes, Exit 9 may be used to get to New Brunswick, it’s certainly not the closest or best route.  Hoboken is laughably bad at Exit 14 - Exit 16W would be way, way more appropriate because you can just pop on Route 3 and with a little fancy driving you’re there.

What would have worked hella better would be using the Parkway - sure, it only runs up the eastern side of the state, but it’s a much more varied area.

I’ll give points for the sheer existence of the map, but for accuracy it gets an F-.  See me after class.
