True story: I had a question read on Beakman’s World. When I was in first grade, my mother urged us to send in a question, and I asked why rattlesnakes had rattles - despite the fact that I had learned why in school not a week before - and I ended up getting a card back in the mail saying that they were holding my question over for consideration.
I only found out that it actually aired as I was leaving for a ballet recital many years later. I’ve still never seen the actual episode in its entirety (and if anyone can point me in that direction, let me love you) but seriously, this was one of the coolest moments of my childhood. My head has never whipped around faster than when I heard “And so, Elyse Peterson from Bridgewater, NJ…”
