MONTCLAIR, NJ — On Monday, university officials announced plans to increase funding for the College of Science and Mathematics in response to recent complaints regarding outdated lab equipment.
Dr. John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt expressed his concerns about the current state of available equipment. “The light microscopes available to us don’t even say Montclair State University!” he exclaimed. “They say Montclair State College! I didn’t know we were still living pre-1994.”
Jingleheimer Schmidt also criticized the university over recent and current construction projects. “We build all these buildings, plan to migrate the business school, and renovate bathrooms, yet we don’t have the time to buy new microscopes. What the actual fuck?”
The new budget, planned to take effect in early 2014, will be the first step towards increasing student interest towards the currently offered STEM majors.
“I don’t need aesthetics. I need readily available equipment and technicians,” Schmidt said.
