Is there a way of preventing one person from seeing your tweets without making your Twitter private?

I am really quite tired of my boss texting me .0000005 seconds after I post something inane there because she thinks it is OMG SO IMPORTANT.

loljk I blocked her anyway, it seems there’s no other way :|
