This was one of my favorite cartoons as a kid.
I love the red dude! Did he ever have a name?
I believe his name is Gossamer :)

All things to those who wait

Some will say the truth is not so plain
Don’t confuse the truth with your pain
Kasabian - Vlad the Impaler
Long before I started watching panel shows, I’d seen this video. When I started watching Buzzcocks I was like “I KNOW THIS GUY WHERE IS HE FROM?”
Turns out, this video.
26 years ago today, the fourth reactor at the Chernobyl nuclear plant exploded, causing years of destruction in both the plant and its surrounding areas. It’s now open for tourists and is #1 on my bucket list.
If you didn’t know that, we’ve never spoken before.

A Dawn of the Dance Cleo in a Nefera De Nile box at a Target in New Jersey. I lol’d
This is totally my Target. I got a picture of the same doll, too. :/
Of course this is the Target that never has dolls, so when they have SOMETHING you get kind of excited…and then lol no.
Adding the source back in like a boss B) This is AWESOME.
Colin Hay - Overkill
Chris Carrabba did a really lovely cover of this on the Wire Tapes that I’ve absolutely blogged before, according to my existing tags - but nothing really compares to the original.
I can’t get to sleep
I think about the implications
Of diving in too deep
And possibly the complicationsEspecially at night
I worry over situations
I know will be all right
Perhaps it’s just imaginationDay after day it reappears
Night after night, my heartbeat shows the fear
Ghosts appear and fade away
A Final Flight for Enterprise
This morning, the space shuttle prototype Enterprise flew over NYC en route to her final resting place at the Intrepid Air & Space Museum on the Hudson River.
This wasn’t the first time Enterprise has flown over NYC. Up top, there she is in 1983 on the way back from the Paris Air Show. Below, today’s final flight over the Big Apple.

I sat outside watching for it to fly over the horizon for a good half hour…apparently it took a different flight path. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement.
We spotted NASA’s Space Shuttle Enterprise as it passed by the Museum this morning! This is the view from our rooftop.
