How I look in person...
I just wanted to do my own version of this girl’s blog entry (http://iwishuponstars.tumblr.com/post/8137854038/appearance). In it, she explains how different women look before, and after, they put on their makeup. The purpose is to show people that no one is perfect, and we can all make ourselves look better with a little effort. As you can see, I’m basically a completely different person before I do my hair and makeup. Putting your pictures on a computer also allows you to enhance how you look in certain ways. I, personally, only enhance the contrast and color saturation, but other people might go so far as to remove/improve parts of their appearance via Photoshop. So, just keep all that in mind the next time you stumble across a beautiful girl and wish you could look more like her. Not that I’m saying she isn’t beautiful without makeup, but let’s face it, we all look better when we take the time to put effort into our appearance. I also included a photo of me in my glasses, because I usually don’t wear them in pictures due to the fact that they don’t photograph well, and tend to catch the reflection of the flash. But, if you were to meet me in person, that’s what I’d look like because I never take my glasses off. Be confident in how you look. Everyone can figure out ways to make themselves feel better in their own skin. It just takes time and practice. :)

And an anecdote of my own…I don’t wear makeup. I can’t be bothered with it. It takes too long and I don’t like feeling like I’m constantly in costume. I don’t feel like I should be berated for ~*not being feminine enough*~ or whatever. Oddly enough, I guess, is that both of my exes as well as Carl say they prefer me without makeup.
I wear it so rarely that Carl gets confused when I do, lol.
